Fire Bellied Newt
Size: 3 to 5 inches
Diet:
If an aquatic -Brine shrimp, bloodworms, live or frozen chopped night crawlers.
If its a non-aquatic -Small crickets,mealworms,whiteworms, and tubifexnworms.
Housing: if if your newts cage is gonna be a terrarium use a glass, acrylic, or plastic tank. Use a 10 gallon tankfor 3 to 4 newts with a screen lid. A water bowl to swim in. Add water to one side of the tank but not soaked just damp other side dry. Also add hiding places all reptiles and amphibians enjoy a place to slep and hide.
Aquatic tank- A plastic or glass tank with a plastic lily pad or a place to get out of the wate. Use a water filter but make sure there is a place with still water. And lots of underwater non-toxic plants.
